In this unique family bonding workshop, we will help kids and parents discover and relate to the 2,000-year-old Analects by Confucius, one of the most important books of Chinese culture, in a fun and interactive way.

Activity highlights:

- 3D Problem Sum: Discover how old this amazing book really is, via a 10m-long string.

- Hello, hello? Discover the most memorable phrases of the Analects, via a broken telephone!

- Stand-up Analects: A mini forum theater, where we relate Analect’s ancient lessons to our modern lives, with a healthy mix of comedy and reflection. 

- Where’s Confy? Can you recognise Confucius on the streets? 

- Time travel to Spring Autumn Period: Discover what China was like during his time through a soundscape. Realise this was the world Confucius was trying to change through teaching about kindness and respect.

- Mopgraphy: Use a modern household item to introduce children to the Four Treasures of the study (文房四宝) and the meanings of 仁, 义, 礼, 智 and 信.

- Benevolence parable: Learn about benevolence (仁) through the tale of the fire in the horses’ stables: 《论语正义·乡党》:“厩焚。子退朝,曰:‘伤人乎?’不问马。” 

- Righteousness parable: Introduce children to Mencius (孟子), Confucius’ famous disciple, and the story of the fish and bear paw.

- MCQ of Wisdom: Discover the real meaning of wisdom (智) via a MCQ with a twist.

- Five Hearts: Understand the difference between a 君子 and a 小人, and the meaning of: “修身、齐家、治国、平天下”.

- Ancient 听写: Travel back in time to take a familiar test.

- Confucius’ Cane: Reflection activity on why didn't Confucius just write a list of punishments? What was Confucius' goal? 

- Meet Paiseh: Learn a most useful word, “Paiseh”, through dramatic role-play. Learn what its Chinese characters 歹势 or 拍谢 mean.

- Paiseh Popiah: Learn about the cute local practice of the Paiseh Piece, and how this is one of the many little ways we can be kind and considerate to others, like what Confucius encouraged us to do.  

Important to note:

* Due to limited slots, bookings are non-refundable.

* Do note that by attending this workshop, your child will not understand the complete Analects. What we aim to do instead is to plant the seeds.

* Photos of the classes may be taken and used for publicity purposes.

家长的参与:

  • 在节目的第一段是可选的(10am - 11.30am)
  • 在节目的第二段是必要的(11.30am - 12.30pm)

若您不打算参与节目第一段,请在节目第一段结束时在课程地点外等待您的孩子。我们会在那里集合前往节目第二段的地点。

虽说理想,我们并不要求双方家长都在场。

节目活动包括:

第一段

- 3D问题:通过游戏和10米长的绳,意识《〈论语》〉这本书到底有多古老

- 喂喂?通过传话游戏发掘论语里印象最深刻的词句!己欲立而立人。。。蛤?

- 论语相声:一场迷你论坛剧场。儿童们可以吸取论语的古老道德教训并通过喜剧和自我反省的有趣组合应用在他们的现代生活中。

- 孔夫在哪?你能在街上认出孔夫子吗?

- 时空穿梭到春秋时期:倾听一段音景领悟中国在孔夫子的年代是一个多么混乱的时期,而就是他想以善良和尊重所改变的。

- 拖把四宝:通过普通家庭用具向儿童们介绍古代的文房四宝,并了解仁、义、礼、智、信的意思。

- 仁之寓言:通过论语正义·乡党》:“厩焚。子退朝,曰:‘伤人乎?’不问马。”了解何谓仁。

- 义之寓言:向儿童们介绍孟子,孔子之学的著名继承人。利用道具演绎孟子关于义、鱼和熊掌的名言。

- 智之测试:通过不一般的选择题测试了解智的意思。

- 五心:通过游戏分辨君子和小人的区别,并且了解论语最重要的教训:“修身、齐家、治国、平天下”!

第二段

节目包括SINGAPO人展览参观,通过亲子互动巩固儿童课程的学习成果并且将其体现在儿童们的现代生活中。

- 古代听写:穿越时空参加熟悉的测试。

- 孔夫子的拐杖:通过反思活动,领悟孔子为何不直接写出一份刑罚清单? 孔子的目标到底是什么?

- 认识歹势吗:通过戏剧性角色扮演学习一个非常有用的词:歹势。

- 歹势薄饼:你知道歹势也应用于餐桌上?理解当地逗趣的“歹势最后一块”惯例。
